Task

Submit up to 50 good, unique photos with quality tags to the commons with a CC-By or CC-zero license.

Criteria for Success

  • Photos MUST have the correct license (CC-By or CC-Zero.)
  • Because these must be searchable in the commons, the ONLY allowed submission is a web URL. 
  • Your photos MUST meet legal standards of copyright. If you took a photo of a friend, that’s partially their IP, so get them to sign a model release form.   • TAG! Someone will find these pohotos by searching sunset, dog, cake, etc.
  • No duplicates or near duplicates. Don’t just upload 50 pictures of your dog running around in slightly different ways.
  • Choose good work! These photos will be exiting the cloistered classroom and instead be judged by the whole world. Your name’s attached to these!

Exporting from Lightroom
  1. Make sure you apply a Creative Commons metadata template to your photos, so that they’re listed as CC by or CC zero on export!
  2. You can export to Flickr directly from Lightroom.From Lightroom to Flickr (Links to an external site.)From Lightroom to Flickr
  3. Alternatively, you can post to Morguefile. Since that lets you use a Facebook login, it might save you the hassle of creating an extra user account. https://morguefile.com/ (Links to an external site.)
